Account Information

Service Configuration Data

The specific categories (whether single or multiple selections), custom keywords, alert preferences, locations, and subscription tier (Job Seeker, Freelancer, Business) you configure within our dynamic task builder.

Integration Data (Telegram)

An anonymous Telegram Chat ID. We use a secure "magic link" system to connect your account. We do not ask for, collect, or store your mobile phone number, nor do we collect your Telegram @username. We only receive a system-generated routing ID required exclusively to deliver the automated Iulaan and gazette alerts to your device.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid tier (Freelancer or Business), you pay by direct bank transfer to our Bank of Maldives (BML) account and upload a copy of your transfer slip so we can verify the payment. We never ask for or store card numbers, CVV codes, or banking PINs. Your uploaded transfer slip is stored securely and used solely to confirm your payment.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect solely to provide and improve the Alertme.mv experience:

  • To Deliver the Service: To cross-reference your selected keywords and categories with published government gazette data and send instant Telegram notifications. All communications occur strictly through our official automated Bot; our staff cannot and will not contact your Telegram account from personal numbers.
  • To Manage Your Account: To process your subscription, upgrade/downgrade your plans, and provide customer support.
  • To Improve Our Platform: To analyze aggregate tracking trends (e.g., which job categories are most popular) to optimize our scraping engine and system performance.

3. Third-Party AI Processing

Alertme.mv uses third-party Artificial Intelligence services (such as Google Gemini) to help process and categorize public information sourced from the Government Gazette.

We do not share your personal data with AI models. The data sent to our AI providers consists strictly of public domain text extracted from official government sources, such as gazette announcements, job vacancies, and tender notices. This may include the announcement's title, description, category, and location details as published by government offices.

Your personal information — including your account details, email address, saved keywords, and alert preferences — is stored securely in our own database and is never sent to, processed by, or used to train any third-party AI model.

4. How We Share Your Information

We hold your professional data in strict confidence. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or alert configurations to third parties. We only share your data with essential third-party service providers required to operate Alertme.mv:

  • Telegram: To route and deliver your personalized alerts using your anonymous Chat ID.
  • Database Providers: Our secure cloud database infrastructure where your account preferences are stored.
  • AI Service Providers: To process publicly available gazette text only, as described above. Your personal data is never included in this processing.
  • Legal Obligations: If required by Maldivian law, we may disclose information to comply with legal processes or governmental requests.

5. Data Security & Confidentiality

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your data. Your connection to our website is encrypted, and your database entries are secured against unauthorized access.

Zero Spam Guarantee

Because we intentionally do not collect your mobile phone number, your risk of receiving SMS spam or unwanted marketing calls from our database is zero. We cannot see your phone number or your personal Telegram contacts.

Confidentiality of Search Preferences

We recognize that your specific combination of custom keywords and categories may constitute confidential business strategy. We treat your configuration and watchlist as highly private data and do not expose your tracking preferences to other users or third parties.

6. Your Data Rights

You maintain full control over your data on Alertme.mv. At any time, you can:

  • Modify, add, or delete your custom keywords and alert preferences.
  • Disconnect your Telegram account instantly. Because you initiate the connection, you hold complete control. Simply blocking the Alertme.mv bot in your Telegram app instantly severs the connection and physically revokes our system's ability to send you messages.
  • Request the complete deletion of your account and associated data by contacting our support team.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, services, or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes via email or an alert through the Alertme.mv Telegram bot.
